DESCRIPTION:Announcing the presentation of "The Other Twelve Disciples" \n\n \n\nOn Thursday\, April 18\, 2019\, 7:30 pm\, La Plata United Methodist Church will present this chancel drama for our church and community.  Rehearsals are in progress for this dynamic\, moving depiction of the life\, death and resurrection of Jesus as seen through the eyes of twelve women who knew and followed Him.  Women such as Mary and Martha\, Salome\, The Woman with the Alabaster Flask\, and Mary\, the mother of Jesus\, will be brought to life through this presentation.  The program includes special music and open communion uniquely presented.\n\n \n\nMaundy Thursday\, also known as Holy Thursday\, is the day we commemorate the Last Supper which was shared by Jesus and His apostles.  This is an appropriate time for each of us to reflect on our personal response to the events of Holy Week and prepare our hearts for the enormity of Christ's sacrifice and the triumph of His resurrection.\n\n \n\nYou will not want to miss this event!!   Please invite everyone you know to come and share with us.
